About · Studio · Process

Two people.
A discipline:
design that sells.

YELLOWCLIP is a graphic design studio founded in 2005 in San Salvador. There are five of us and we’ll stay that way until we’re no longer five and we work with nine active brands in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras.

We don't sell creativity. We sell applied thinking. Every project starts with a business question not a visual brief and ends with a system the client can run without us.

This page tells you who we areand how we work. If you're only interested in one section, use the links below to go directly to it.

01 · Valores

Cómo trabajamos.

Six principles we don't negotiate. When a client asks to skip one, it's usually a sign the project shouldn't exist.

/ 01

Si no vende, no es creativo.

Every project is measured against a business objective agreed at the start and reviewed against it six months later.

/ 02

Pensamos primero. Diseñamos después.

The logo is the last decision, not the first. Before it come six weeks of strategy, audit and positioning. It costs more upfront. It costs much less in the end.

/ 03

Cobramos por proyecto. No por hora.

Billing by the hour penalizes efficiency. We charge a firm price agreed upfront. If we run late, it's on us. If we finish early, we don't discount.

/ 04

Tres rondas.Sin sorpresas.

Concept, refinement, final. Three clear rounds. If you need a fourth, we include it at no cost because it means we missed something.

/ 05

Te enseñamos to run your system.

Every delivery includes a 2-hour workshop with your team. Not to impress them so they can use the brand without calling us every week.

/ 06

No competimos en pitches gratuitos.

Free work attracts clients who value free. A 30-min call to understand your business at no cost. But seeing visual proposals is already a paid project.

02 · Team

Quienes somos.

A team with five distinct crafts and one surname in common: YELLOWCLIP. Everyone talks to the client. Everyone signs the work. No invisible juniors.

03 · Process

Cinco fases.
Ningún atajo.

Every project follows the same journey, regardless of sector or budget. Skipping steps is the most expensive way to save time.

Philosophy

The discipline distinguishes work that sells from work that simply decorates.

— Principio operativo of the studio

Good work doesn't come from inspiration. It comes from discipline./span That's why every project goes through the same five phases, in the same order.

This isn't bureaucracy. It's the opposite: it eliminates late surprises. A poor decision made in week 4 costs ten times as much to fix in week 14. And a hundred times as much once it's already been printed.

Three rounds. One firm proposal. Firm dates. If we run late, it's on us.

Compromiso mutuo

What we hope for.
What we promise.

An identity project isn't a service you buy, it's a collaboration. It works when both parties are clear on their responsibilities.

What we ask of the client.

/01
One person who decides.
No committee. One person with authority to approve each phase.
/02
Access to founders.
Four initial interviews, not delegated to junior marketing.
/03
Structured feedback.
Against the signed strategy not "I don't like this green".
/04
Cinco días hábiles
para responder cada presentación.
/05
Timely payments.
40% upfront, 40% upon approving phase 3, 20% on delivery.

What we promise from the studio.

/01
The owner signs the work.
Sofía reviews every delivery. No invisible juniors.
/02
Firm price.
We quote by project, not by the hour. If we run late, we absorb it.
/03
Firm dates.
We don't "estimate", we promise. If we're late, we discount 5% per week.
/04
Tres rondas garantizadas.
La cuarta es gratis si pasa.
/05
6-month review.
If the metrics didn't improve, we discuss what to do at no cost.
